Vaccinations

Dr. Michael Janis: family practice for vaccinations in Frankfurt, Germany

The highly topical subject of vaccinations / immunization is discussed very intensively. Many want the most comprehensive vaccination protection possible; those opposed to vaccination want no vaccinations at all. Perhaps the truth can be found in between, or comprehensible rules for a sensible approach to vaccinations. The decision always depends on many individual factors.

The decision not to vaccinate children or adults at all can be dangerous under certain circumstances. Of course, one can rely on “nature,” but if the wrong pathogen is present at the wrong time, it can mean that permanent health damage occurs or a child or adult dies. On the other hand, it is not necessary to be vaccinated against all diseases for which vaccine protection is possible. For some people’s immune systems, this is simply too much.
Vaccination is an individual decision that should be discussed in a personal doctor-patient consultation.
